Fly fishing is the art of catching fish using an artificial fly, or
lure, normally made from feathers, wool, tinsel and cotton, cast on a line
using the weight of the line itself in a back and forth motion.

Hello,
My name is Ian Sorenson, and I am a Level 2 Certificate Coach in Angling in Game. I am a member of the Salmon and Trout association and Game Angling Instructors Association. (GAIA)
That means that I have been assessed and licensed to coach in Game fishing and particularly in Flycasting for Trout.
I have been fly fishing for over 30 years from large concrete bowl reservoirs through small still waters to fast flowing spate rivers.
I have fished since the age of 5 but took up fly fishing
aged 13 and have been passionate about it ever since. I have fished from as far a field as
I now live here in the South West which is blessed with some of the finest fishing to be had from the small still waters that abound to large man made reservoirs such as Clatworthy, Wimbleball, hidden jewels like Kennick, To rivers like the Exe, Lyn, Taw and Teign.
Fishing for small wild Brown trout, Sea trout, Salmon, and of course rainbows. The south coast beaches and coast line also lend themselves to some fine sea fishing on the fly, where bass can be caught amongst the kelp.
