About us

Sorenson Flycasting offers you fly casting Tuition and guided fishing at a number of fisheries in Mid, South,and North Devon, as well as West Somerset, and will provide a personal service tailored to your needs.
 
My name is Ian Sorenson and I have been fishing for over 40 years in all areas of our sport. I am a professional, licensed Coach through the Angling Development Board, who are recognised by Sport England and qualified to Level 2 coaching certificate.  I am a member of the Salmon and Trout Association, Game Angling Instructors Association and the Devon Fly Fishing Guides Association.  This means that I have obtained the required standards in casting ability, I have a current Criminal Records Bureaux (CRB) certificate, first aid, and child protection certificates, insurance and uphold the code of practice of the organisations.

I have been fly fishing since I was 13 years of age  and have fished for trout in not only the UK, but in Canada and New Zealand .  My fishing experience has also taken me from Nigeria on its creeks and Beaches and to Kenya.  I have experience  in coarse fishing and sea fishing within the UK, all of which add to my overall knowledge of the sport.


The south west offers a wide choice of fishing opportunities set in some of the most beautiful countryside this country has to offer.
