During the course of the 2010 fly fishing season there will be a number of events held by various organisations or myself, shows, instruction days, or charity days. As and when they are confirmed to me I shall list them below. I hope to see some of you at the events .

South West Fishing For Life
05 September 2010
Every month the "South West fishing for life" meets at Wimbleball resevoir to learn how to cast and have a go at fishing. The participants are Ladies who have experienced Breast Cancer, and the actions of fly casting have been shown to help in both recovery, pre and post operative care. If you know any one who has suffered this disease and wants to meet with other Ladies in a simialr position just to talk to, or to enjoy the benfits of flycasting, and enjoy a sociable day out then let them know about the events. The first day is a Fly tying day. The following other dates have been confirmed:-
7th march Fishing at Bellbrook Lakes
11th April Anniversary celebrations and fishing Wimbleball
2nd May, 6th June, 4th July,1st August, 5th September(AGM), 3rd October are all fishing days at Wimbleball.7th November and 5th December are fly tying but I am not sure if it will be at Wimbleball or not best to ask.

Environment Agency taster Days

The Environment Agency are running a number of taster days at Kennick resevoir starting on the 5th June. Beginners will be able to learn the basics of fly casting with a professional fly casting instructor. For details contact DIane Holland at the Agency on 01392-316032. South West Fishing For Life At Kennick Reservoir

The SWFFL have set up a number of days at Kennick reservoir. The first taster day is 9th May and then on the following dates will be fishing.

Salmon and Trout Association Junior days
17 October 2010
The Salmon and Trout Association will be holding two Junior days and the first is planned for the 13th June but this is to be confirmed by head office and the second is planned for the 17th October 2010 but again this is to be confirmed. The event is or children from the ages of 9 -14years. They have recently been run at Exe Valley fishery near Dulverton and Highhampton fishery Near Hatherleigh. These are the chosen venues for this year as well. Exe Valley in June and Highhampton in October.
