Pre-Season Lessons

The new season is nearly on us, so why not treat yourself to a lesson or two to get the rust out of those arms, improve your technique or learn a new sport.  Winter fishing on the lakes for Rainbows can be great sport and the cold weather seems to bring out the best in the fish. Fry pattern and slow nymphs on the bottom work well. Don't forget the fabulous Grayling you can still fish for them on the rivers as they fall under the course season.

 I would recommend that you have a look at the February edition of total Fly fishing where the articles will give you that extra help in the cold, others to look out for are Trout Fisherman , and Flyfishing & Flytying. Each has its own style and I swap and change depending on the content, there is always something to learn.  There is still time to tie a few flies too.
